This was one of the earlier maps.
Your map was probably removed because of a policy that instituted later on to remove unnecessary new work. of course, things like that aren't done retroactively...

I wonder why this map is still on the database, when some of my maps, that were much better, have been removed. I bet it took you about 5 minutes to make this.

Just to spill the beans..i was the original John. and tht John RR, John Mole Shopper and John Shopper were the ones i made. You can prob tell by the hand writing as its same in all 3. all the other John maps were random other ppl. Just incase some were still curious..thought id just say. but pffft. it was ages ago you prob all forgotten the John conspiracy lol

There are lots of usernames with 'John' in them, weeding out the right one is another matter...
Point 1... This John could well be a cut short signiture of any upto 50 players with John in theirr name.
Point 2... If you saw and questioned this John about his maps, looking at them would you honestly expect him to admit ownership of them after all the criticism which has prevailed...

Now the competition is on to make the first terrain that gets refused by wmdb. <-- Sarcasm, you don't wanna encourage the chesters...

All I'm gonna say is whats obvious... Whilst these maps remain on wmdb they're downgrading everyone else's work and people are gonna start looking elsewhere to put their maps!

That's why I recommended that admins be able to make recommendations... to make the maps actually worth downloading stand out =)

...or just delete all the spam waste :D
Honestly those maps are making the site look bad, the minute someone logs onto wmdb they're gonna see them and look elsewhere. When there are so many map sites now yer cant afford spam of any degree ;)

You should however create a rating / recommendation system (where a select few would recommend maps they think are worth downloading)... just to help weed out er... certain maps.
