I started on Worms 2 back in 2000, wasn't all that interested in it until a friend bought WWP in 2001 and got me into it. Around 2003-2004 I moved to WA, then back to WWP off and on again in 2005-2006
I took my first serious break from worms (after almost 6 years of playing it pretty much daily) at the end of 2006 and I've just recently returned and am playing WA again (using my WWP alias, MunE).
