I designed the wmdb as an open system (there are no registrations). If users misuse it, it's their own fault.

No i truly believe people are downloading their own maps. Like Green And Fast RopeRace by COo1. His download is 7 and has only been viewed 4 times. He has to be downloading his own map as well as other map makers

because it's a different system now. Before the change, when you looked at a thumbnails page, every map on the thumbnails page got an additional view. That gave the maps of course alot of views.

Now a view is when you open the view_map.php page for a map, which makes more sense in my opinion.

The stats will normalize as soon as more people have looked at the maps. However it suprises me how little known the wmdb still seems to be.

I have a feeling people are downloading their own maps so it could be on top of the statistics. The maps that are on top are old maps so how is it all of a sudden that the downloads are near 100%

I was thinking of doing a "featured" maps page. People would have to review a map, and if the review and the map was is good enough in the admins opinion, it would be added to the "featured" maps page.

You should make a separate page of favorite most "original" maps of your choice Alice as the site owner. Just an idea.

yeah Tony. I was thinking of that too. I just don't know yet where to put the link for each map for a direct download.

Small Tip: Make it so that you can download a map from the main page which shows thumbnails, instead of having to view the larger preview every single time :)

Oooh! A shoutbox! Anyway, I like how you can get a half-size preview of the map before downloading it... because sometimes you can't tell by the thumbnail if it's worth downloading! =D

the new site looks very cool in iex anyway. yea the 2vs2 shoppa tourney was way more fun, it was deadly. the scheme was also very cool, worm placement and lack of nanas etc really made a huge difference and turned the match into a very tactical and skillful game and not the usuall luck fest u find wit normal 1on1 shoppa's. i think the next ones should be 2vs2 and i think ull agree from the turnout it was very popular! good job on sweet tourney, lookin forward to another 2v2. :)

looks awful. There are however some other things I wanted to do first on the wmdb, like bigger previews. Plus I don't have that much spare time anymore. But I'll take care of it, thank you meiapaul :)
