When creating a map for Worms Armageddon that incorporates Nazi symbols, it's crucial to balance artistic intent with the ethical implications of using such charged imagery. Here’s a summary of acceptable versus unacceptable use of Nazi symbols on such maps:
== Acceptable Use of Nazi Symbols in Worms Armageddon Maps ==
1) Satirical or Critical Depictions:
* Clear Irony: Symbols or themes are used in a way that ridicules or mocks Nazi ideology, making it clear that the map creator does not endorse it. This could include caricatured portrayals of Nazi figures or exaggerated features that make them absurd rather than serious.
* Villain Framing: The map sets Nazi symbols as the “enemy” or as something the worms must destroy or overcome, positioning the player against the ideology. For instance, placing symbols in ways that encourage players to “defeat” or blow them up can send a strong anti-Nazi message.
2) Historical Contextualization:
* Educational Tone: The map is designed with an educational or reflective purpose, perhaps depicting a historical scene that emphasizes the horrors or tragedies associated with Nazi actions. This can work if there’s clear commentary, either visually or through labeling, that invites players to reflect on the history rather than trivializing it.
* Anti-Totalitarian Theme: If the map shows the grim or oppressive nature of Nazi ideology, highlighting the devastation it caused, it can serve as a reminder of the regime’s negative impact. This should still avoid overly graphic content and focus on a respectful representation of history.
3) Minimal Symbol Use:
* Symbol as Target Only: If symbols are present, they should be targets for destruction or obstacles to overcome rather than prominent decorative elements. Using the swastika, for example, in subtle, destructible areas without focusing on it can work if the intention is clear.
== Unacceptable Use of Nazi Symbols in Worms Armageddon Maps ==
1) Glamorization or Normalization of Symbols:
* Symmetrical, Prominent Display: Avoid using symbols in ways that make them the centerpiece or highly decorative elements, as this can make them appear “iconic” or respected. For example, a large swastika or eagle prominently centered on the map without irony can come across as reverent or neutral, risking misinterpretation.
* Neutral or Positive Imagery: Representing Nazi symbols in a way that feels “clean” or stylized, without critique or opposition, can unintentionally glamorize them. This includes presenting Nazi figures in a heroic light or using their symbols in a way that looks aesthetically appealing without critique.
2) Excessive Violence or Graphic Depictions:
* Sensational Depictions of War Crimes: Graphic portrayals of violence related to Nazi crimes, especially involving direct references to real historical suffering (e.g., concentration camps), should be avoided. Such depictions are generally insensitive and trivialize the trauma associated with these events.
* Over-the-Top Brutality Against Figures: While some level of destruction is expected in Worms, excessive focus on violence against human representations (e.g., figures that clearly depict Nazi soldiers or leaders) can turn the map into something more grotesque than satirical, veering into sensationalism.
3) Ambiguous or Symbol-Heavy Maps with No Clear Message:
* Ambiguity Around Intent: Maps that use Nazi symbols without a clear critical or satirical purpose can come across as ambiguous, which may make players uncomfortable or give the impression of apathy toward the ideology. Maps should avoid using symbols simply for “shock value” or as decoration without a clear thematic purpose.
* Repetitive Symbol Use: Excessive repetition of Nazi symbols (e.g., swastikas filling large portions of the map) can create a feeling of endorsement or admiration rather than criticism. Limiting the number of symbols and making their purpose clear is essential.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In summary, Worms Armageddon maps that use Nazi symbols should aim to subvert, mock, or challenge Nazi ideology, while avoiding any representation that could appear to glorify or trivialize it.

Yes, you are right. There are a lot of maps that (probably) worth to be deleted from wmdb, like the map you are mentioning or other random .PNGs uploaded with 0.1% editing effort. I was not here when all this was happening.
Nevertheless, I still have my own opinion about how maps should be done or what remixing a map means. You might either agree or disagree about that, but I will still have my own opinion and will express my considerations during the reviewing process.
I think the purpose of this website is to collect original and creative work art that people can enjoy while in game. On the other side, I am fully aware of the fact that over past years this rarely happened. I can not blame reviewers for that, but just map makers / authors.
If you want to really contribute to this process, why don't you try to implement something from scratch instead of mixing a hundred of existing maps with (in the most cases) just a few minor changes (e.g., a couple of new hides, plope's zones, etc.)?
Note: I do not have the right to remove a published content on this website, just for your information.
Just a small width extension change the experience of the map...
Anyway It seems you haven´t check it all. Two open access on the walls and the stuff on the hide on left has been removed aswell.
Now tell me what should be the difference here #32843 I can not find any difference either and they still being around. You just mention maps with more details but forget to mention maps with NO changes like that.
One of my maps wich had different color than original was delated, then when i check uploads i watch several remixes with no differences execpt the color, so thats my point the parciality and contradiction at the reviewing process time.

Please consider the ones hereafter as a reference for remix concept (not the best one tho):
I can´t believe that kind of answer, having maps like this: #32843 (here there is not even minimum changes) or this other #40077 this still being the smae maps just in reverse way or this other #33834 this one only got differents graphics (oh exactly what i did...)
If you pay more attention on changes u would realize that i did recolor, different dimensioning plus changing stuff around the map(like shorter or bigger plops and removing/replacing obstacles).
But just for a reason you just decided to delated mine...
