Infernal it is pretty easy to achieve horrible graphics even with sprites from a game and there are several examples of that here. So no, using sprites does not automatically result in good graphic...

Nice that you kept to the borders of the bricks when making the layout. But I feel the skeleton is out of place and so is the armageddon symbol. Also the bottom part could be a bit more interesting...
