Well, yeah :D I add transparency to them and then use option called make transparent by color. I then convert them to .WLD files using the W.M.D map conversion tools and post it in the steam workshop with a disclaimer and credit to the original author. There is nothing hard in doing it, but many people actually think that it's harder and are not willing to do it. Some are just lazy and would rather just download a map from workshop. If you don't want your map to be posted on my steam workshop, i will immediately take it down.
Hello guys, i'm porting maps from WA to W.M.D, and i would be thankful if you could suggest some good and interesting maps to port. Also, if you want me to port your map just notify me in the shoutbox. Thank you and have a great day! :D
I like how this is still on the main page:
"Latest announcement: Tournament registrations for Winter Worm Olympics 2012 have started! The Olympics will start on the evening of 21st of December"
funny though, i accidentally clicked the wrong bookmark and ended up at wmdb. i've been perusing around and I miss making maps damnit. That was almost the best part of the worms addiction to me. i'm sure others have me beat but i back when i was playing i played every day for 3 years straight. That's a clinical addiction lol
As for WMD.. raffie already mentioned the day one support for custom png maps and I had a sneak peak at the ninja rope and it looks to be exactly (or very close) to how it is in WA. Editing of schemes will be pretty limited on release (15s turn time is the lowest you can choose). At the end of the day, no worms game will ever come close to WA.
