Don't you think it's just a tad bit odd that Falkra has to maps on the top ten in 1st and 2nd for so long, and he's only posted two maps.
Given I kinda like the Pigeon fly, but that scheme is not the most liked in W:A, and that other one............well lets just say I've seen better.

Ok, I thought about what I'm change/do for the new wmdb:

1. Slicker interface, new design
2. Awards system for maps (creative, fun, ...). I'm gonna appoint people who give away the awards, they're gonna be called "Editors". They have to be fair of course.
3. Map collaboration system

I decided against user logins, I don't want to bloat the wmdb too much, I like it the way it is.

I'm gonna continue to work on the wmdb next tuesday.

Get ready for a map of the likes that have never been seen before! Well kinda but a lot of work is going into this one. This is NO FIVE MIN. JOB! ClanDarkMatter will begin testing shortly on Metroid Shoppa 2. One year to the date after the first release I shall post it, and it will be great! One will be a shoppa, and the other will be a w2w like only Clandarkmatter can make! These maps have more than just lines in it, there lines with style! Be ready for Feb 14 2005!

wmdb = colour maps
b&w maps should be uploaded elsewhere :)
I agree on the quality of the latest additions though :( There should be a way to just get good maps somewhere

Perhaps somebody makes a page for the good submissions? :)

I object to only uploading color maps. Color maps ruined rope racing. I vote for the ability to upload classical maps!

When I say a map is awful, I state my opinion. If you want facts, then perhaps you should make a standardized screening list for judging maps and score points for that.
And when I say it's awful, I say *why* I think it's awful.

Personally, I'm not someone that likes maps that are just a collection of lines, constructed from one image. It hurts the eyes.
Can you imagine a moleshop map that only has one worm image pasted all over the screen? the horror =x

Making a map of different things you found on the net, putting it together and making it be something! thats creativity...
Drawing a map is another kind of creativity, all tho it dosen't matter what you choose as long as people see what your trying too make, maybe one map looks great too Tony but Darkone will hate it, that dosen't give darkone the right to tell the author thats the map is aweful and not being good enough... thats my only point here!!!

That's called being a smartass.

On an unrelated note, how did you put in that link D1?

You may think that 4 hours is a long time to make a map, but trust me. It takes me much longer to make a map.
70% of WN maps are copy paste maps? 70% add 50 barrels at the same spot to make a mountain-sort-of-thing?

I don't know about TonY, but for me, this is a copy-paste map: Making a line and since there's a lack of creativity, I'll just take some picture from a game/cartoon/whatever (that you didn't make yourself) and make a line with several pictures like that.

http://www.wmdb.org/view_map.php?id=277 is another example of a copy-paste map.

noone needs too know that a map they just used 4 hours one is'nt good enough, and telling me that is not constructive.... Ther map is good but not awesome.

BTW. 70% of all maps on wormnet is copy past maps!!!!!

It was constructive because it pointed out something that was not very successful about your map and reffered you to a similar but better-done map. Don't be a smartass with me, I don't respond well to that.

In the future please limit your discussion of a specific map to the comments section of that map.
