I look forward to the new system. I just thought that with FFie's absence the work on the new system also stopped. Nice to hear otherwise.

btp is more of a real community site, with lots of little gadgets and of course a file and map archive. it just got really inactive in the last few years. the main reason for surfing for worms stuff still are maps so wmdb always was the better alternative thanks to it's simplicity and ongoing development.
one advantage btp always had was the possibility to upload monochrome maps (*.bit), too. wmdb was always made for colour maps only, after png was introduced as map files.

Hey just out of curiosity... I've been playing worms for what? 10+ years now... I have NEVER been understand what the heck Blamethepixel is supposed to be accomplishing at that site. Am I nuts?

Anyone specifically asking to be a reviewer should not be. It's like a forum doesn't promote moderators based on who would want to be one for several reasons, some of them being trustworthiness and the questionable motives of why anyone would volunteer to work and spend time with nothing in return. Not to mention possible power abuse. The bottom line is that you have to earn the title, not beg for it.

Well Alex- it's because I'm very well known and 30 years of age, and got lots of good pals and because they are good pals - they too understand that if I give them a bad review it's because it's what I see and they understand that. Love my pals. Anyway - don't get jealous - news is the reviewing system will be changed soon even though I don't like to say it like that.

So for the time being - reviewers and moderators are doing their best to keep me on track with map reviewing - you don't see it as us staff speak about maps and its tags and sometimes it's a joint decision on what map tags should be marked as.

Just keep smiling, produce quality clean and smooth maps and very different to others out there and you may even get thumbs up!

... or a good map maker ;).
